GPHPEdit is an open source UTF-8 compatible PHP editor for Gnome desktop environment built with using Scintilla. it’s specially designed to edit PHP files and other supporting files like HTML/CSS and also support for drop-down function lists, hints showing parameters, and syntax highlighting.

The user interface of gPHPedit is very similar to gedit interface with the difference that it is designed for PHP and HTML text editing. it’s an free and open source project released under GNU General Public License.
